Sunday, Dec 16, 2012 Marydale’s Thought for the Day – 12/16/12

Every time you come face to face with yourself, be easy. While it is imperative to know yourself well, it is another thing to be critical and demeaning. This behavior mitigates the essence of your True Self and creates a pattern of negative self talk that leads to dis-ease, struggle and suffering. Stay awake and notice how you relate to you and know that your emotional and mental health remains in your own making. Have respect and honor for yourself on this day and all days.

Saturday, Dec 15, 2012 Marydale’s Thought for the Day – 12/15/12

When your heart is broken and filled with despair over something you can do nothing about, turn your consciousness directly toward your faithfulness to a Higher Power. Drop to your knees and pray fervently for all concerned and give it all up. For you are a thread in the tapestry of perfection and yet so tiny in the scheme of all things. There will always be events in your life that happen that you cannot wrap your head and/or heart around. That’s okay. Just surrender, trust and know you are not and have never been alone.

Thursday, Dec 13, 2012 Marydale’s Thought for the Day – 12/13/12

If it is humanly possible to complete everything that you are doing today, then by all means do it. Leaving things incomplete thinking you will do it “later” or tomorrow or next week is a trap. Why? Because who knows what the future has in store for you? You may be way too busy later doing awesome things to complete what you left undone yesterday. You must create healthy habits that support a healthy lifestyle, and finishing what you start builds self-esteem and confidence in yourself. Leaving things incomplete causes pressure and anxiety, and if you string together a bunch of incomplete tasks, before long you are buried in the rubble of your own making. Everything we do has value. Protect yourself from a downward spiral and do all that you can do, the best that you can do it, to completion today so you may have a fresh start tomorrow.

12/12/12 – A cosmic door is opening. With our hearts and minds wide open, as well, let us venture forth into the bright future. Infinite possibilities await each of us, beckoned by the still small voice within, to move ahead with fortitude and Grace. The power of our Oneness is unstoppable, anchored in our belief that life is good, we are good, and the goodness of our future is in our own hands, our hearts, and our minds. Wonderful! Exciting! See you in the Bright Light, on the other side.

Tuesday, Dec 11, 2012 Marydale’s Thought for the Day – 12/11/12

Did you ever look at yourself in a mirror that seemed to make you look unusually bad accentuating all your flaws and frankly convinced you that your physical appearance left a lot to be desired? Or the opposite experience with a magical mirror that seemed to enhance all your positive attributes and made you look like a million bucks? Consider both these experiences as sheer illusion as you are not your reflection. Due to your inability to see your True Nature you are tricked into believing that you are this body, this person. Look again. Behind your eyes lives perfection so radiant, so perfect that looking at a reflection cannot possibly reveal the splendor of you exactly as you are in this moment. Don’t be tricked by what appear to be human frailties.

Monday, Dec 10, 2012 Marydale’s Thought for the Day – 12/10/12

Recently, the lawn around our home was shaved close to the ground and a strong natural fertilizer (manure) was spread in a thick layer over every inch of earth. Immediately, we had a couple of days of rain and up popped all kinds of…weeds! Over the following week or so, actual grass began to break ground and now there is a riot of weeds and grass fighting over who gets to dominate the space. It is pretty obvious by the sheer number of blades that the grass is bound to be victorious, although some of those weeds look awful strong and well rooted.

We are exactly like this. Try as we might, there are times when we go to the core of our Being for cleansing and renewal, and the first chance they get those pesky mental weeds pop right back up…all shapes and sizes. Some come back with a vengeance, stronger than ever! However, given time, persistence and consistence, strong mental patterns will, indeed, win in the end. Don’t ever give up on yourself. Hold to your passion with all your might. Know that the manure you find yourself in at times can be your greatest gift to growing into your Highest Nature. You may even come out smelling like a rose!

Sunday, Dec 09, 2012 Marydale’s Thought for the Day – 12/09/12

Step outside every day and take a walk. No matter what the weather, go outside for at least twenty minutes and be with the fresh air. No technology tagging along. Just you with yourself paying close attention to being outside. Breathe. Fill yourself from the outside in and let the goodness flow from your insides out. Wonderful. Simple. Do it.

Saturday, Dec 08, 2012 Marydale’s Thought for the Day – 12/08/12

Before retiring tonight, take a good look at yourself in the mirror. Look yourself in the eyes and ask yourself if, on this day, you did the very best you could do in all areas of your life. If not, why not? If yes, congratulate yourself for being all that you can be. Tomorrow will arrive with all new opportunities to perform your best again and again. Patterning this behavior creates a sense of self-respect and contentment within your heart.
