Daily Practice
– This class meets you where you are on your Yoga journey. Emphasis is placed on getting in touch with how energy can open and balance your body, alleviating discomfort and weakness. You will leave class feeling stronger, more flexible, centered and energized. This class has a moderate pace and offers modifications. Come and experience the ever-new spontaneity of Hatha Yoga.

Easy Does It – A gentle Yoga class for all levels. Use this practice to get in touch with your body/mind connection and ease into balance, strength, and flexibility.

Easy Does It Chair – This gentle Yoga class for all levels is offered through Heritage Provider Network, Lakeside Community Healthcare, and Regal Medical Group for members and their guests. The chair provides both support and resistance to deepen your practice in an easy way. All Param Yoga students are welcome to attend.

Golden Age Yoga – These classes are offered through Heritage Provider Network, Lakeside Community Healthcare, and Regal Medical Group for members and their guests. All Param Yoga students are welcome to attend. Incorporating Yoga into a regular routine allows us to age with grace, so join us to explore how you can become comfortable in your skin at any age through detailed instruction, support, and encouragement. Breathe your way into your best life and make every stage a golden age.

Kriya Meditation Sangha – Meditation is the doorway to a stress-free, happy life. Those who have received Kriya through the Paramahamsa Hariharananda and Paramahamsa Prajnanananda lineage are invited to join us on Thursday evenings for our sangha (spiritual fellowship and community) as together we explore the many levels of meditation and its incredible benefits for your body, mind, and spirit. Non-Kriyavans who are interested in learning more about this powerful meditation technique are invited to sit in on a single Kriya Meditation class and are encouraged to participate in one of our seasonal Kriya Initiation events. For more information, visit Kriya Los Angeles or sign up to receive our monthly email newsletter.

Prime of Life Yoga®-inspired – Marydale puts her own unique spin on Prime of Life Yoga®, bringing her intuitive sense and 40+ years of Yoga experience to the program, which offers asana that is accommodating, covering everyday biomechanics, management of stress, relief of common aches and pains, and weight reduction. POLY®-inspired is designed for students 40 years of age and older, but is suitable for all ages and levels. On Wednesday mornings, Marydale incorporates a simple chair as a complex Yoga prop, providing both support and resistance to deepen your practice in an easy way. Everyone is welcome.

Slow Burn Yoga – As the name suggests, this class begins slowly, then builds to a vigorous Vinyasa practice before cooling down for a relaxing and well-deserved savasana. Ahhh…

Yoga for Stress Relief – Stress has become an epidemic concern in our fast-paced world. While some stress is good, too much causes discomfort, anxiety, depression, pain, disease, and debilitation. Learn how to combat your stress through the wisdom of Yoga, as you acquire the tools to breathe, balance, relax, and renew during class and throughout your life.

Yoga Sutra Study Series – Everyone—with or without Kriya—is encouraged to join us for the study of the Yoga Sutra of Patanjali. This is an ongoing series featuring the video discourses of Paramahamsa Prajnanananda, the current spiritual leader of Kriya Yoga International, offering his firsthand understanding of this ancient text, followed by a brief meditation led by Yogacharya Richard Peterson. The class is by donation only (recommended donation is $9).

Yoga Nidra Sound Bath – CANCELLED
Saturday, October 12, 2019
6:00 – 7:00 pm
Investment: $18

Yoga Nidra, also known as “yogic sleep” is a highly effective, deep relaxation technique. The entire practice is done lying down and is similar to guided meditation. Yoga Nidra activates the parasympathetic nervous system (the part of your nervous system that controls rest and digestion), allowing the practitioner to enter a state of ultimate relaxation. Through Yoga Nidra, you can access a realm of consciousness that exists between waking and sleeping, combining an alert awareness of the mind with total relaxation of the body. It is a practice where science and spirit meet, working together to relieve the tension and stress.

Yoga Nidra helps release mental blockages known in Sanskrit as samskaras. This session will emphasize bringing balance to the third eyes core issues of forgiveness. No pre-registration required.

Guide, Himalayan Bowls and Gong: Nya Patrinos (MFA, C-IAYT, ERYT500, YACEP)
Nya’s training is a combination of East and West. She has a Diploma of Merit in Yoga Therapy from The Ghosh College of India in Calcutta and an 800-hour Certificate in Yoga Therapy from Integrative Yoga Therapy in Massachusetts. Nya is certified in Satyananda Yoga Nidra from the Yoga Academy of North America.

Guitar: Larry Marx
Larry Marx is a composer, musician, filmmaker and engineer with a passion for exploring the spaces where physics, art, sound and vibrational energy intersect, collide and diverge. His journey into Yoga began at the Yogi Tree almost 4 years ago and has provided another way to explore the unknown, not to mention the wonderful community and connections that are no longer unknown. “If I get to try generating more positive energy than I consume… for the greater good, while improving my own existence, satisfied!”

Due to the unpredictable nature of the Saddleridge Fire and road closures, the Sound Bath on October 12th has been cancelled. To receive notification when it will be rescheduled, sign up to be on our mailing list.

*Satsang is a Sanskrit term meaning “being in the company of the truth” or “right association,” and refers to a group of like-minded people who engage in a spiritual dialogue. The root words, sat and sanga, mean “true” and “community,” respectively; therefore, satsang may also be thought of as friendship or relationship with the truth itself.
.
On an esoteric level, satsang is associated with the inner quality of sattva (goodness or purity), one of the three qualities of nature (prakriti). Sattva manifests as thoughtfulness, knowledge, peace and contemplation. A sattvic person makes a natural satsangi, or “seeker of truth.” — definition from Yogapedia
